About

I am passionate about feminism and all things feminist. My focus is on younger women and how to help them navigate the biases of a gendered world invested in gender hierarchies.
I work in the higher education sector, supporting students with their mental health and wellbeing. I have a research background at the Institute of Psychiatry, developing projects which focus on the genetic and environmental correlates of behaviour and psychopathology. I have a PhD in Social and Genetic Psychiatry, though my interest lies in the nurture rather than the nature of mental health and wellbeing.
My current interests focus on exploring research on systemic bias in an attempt to understand how culture shapes confidence, identity, and inequality.
My other projects include riot-room.com – a website that focuses on promoting women and women-centred culture. I am also a committed volunteer within my community, writing women-focused blog posts for the Museum of Oxford, working as a vaccinator and patient advocate as part of the NHS COVID-19 vaccination programme and other projects.
I love problem-solving and always try to take a multi-perspective approach. Get in touch if you want to discuss a project or idea.
